BRIDGE

Teach with BRIDGE

We are looking for volunteers aged 16–19. You will run real lessons for children who genuinely need them, using a ready-made curriculum, alongside a second teacher.

Who we are looking for

English teachers at B2 or above. Russian teachers who are native speakers. And language helpers who speak Tajik, Uzbek or Kyrgyz — English level does not matter for that role, and it is one of the roles we need most.

What you would do

One lesson a week, 60 minutes, online. The course runs 10 weeks and we ask you to commit to the whole of it: for a child whose only extra teaching this is, a teacher who disappears is not a small thing.

You do not have to invent the lesson

BRIDGE writes the curriculum: materials, lesson plan and homework. Your job is to deliver the lesson, not to design it. That is why teaching experience is not required.

You will not be alone

Two people are in every lesson: the teacher and the language helper. If someone falls ill the lesson does not collapse — we keep trained volunteers ready to step in.

The selection is real

An application, a short test, a video interview, two references we genuinely contact, BRIDGE training and a trial lesson. It takes a while, and that is deliberate: we are responsible for the quality of the teaching and for the safety of the children.

What you get

Real teaching experience, training from BRIDGE, a certificate and verified volunteer hours. The certificate is issued after a full course with at least 80% attendance — we count hours from lessons actually taught, not from what someone claims.
