Join the BRIDGE team

BRIDGE is built by school and university students. If you want to build the project itself rather than only teach a class, these are the roles we need.

This is not an hour a week

A teacher runs their group for an hour a week from a curriculum that is already written. The team is what makes that curriculum exist at all, what finds and selects the teachers, and what gets schools to say yes. It is slower, less visible and more important. It is more hours than volunteering, and there is no fixed timetable.

What needs doing

Curriculum and lessons

Writing and improving the lessons: materials, lesson plans, homework. Whether an ordinary volunteer can teach a good lesson depends directly on this.

Recruiting teachers

Finding volunteers, running interviews, checking references, getting them ready for a first lesson.

Needed most

Partnerships

Talking to schools, libraries and organisations. One school is twenty students at once. It is the hardest part of the project and the most important.

Design and social

Telegram, VK, the look of the project. We never show students' faces or names — that is part of the job too: telling the story without using children as advertising.

Technology

The site and the platform: applications, groups, attendance, reports.

What you get, and what you don't

You get

Real responsibility for a piece of the project, not errands.
Experience anyone can see: what you build will run in public.
A reference letter — specific, not from a template.

You don't get

Money. Nobody is paid, the founder included.
A set of instructions. The project is young and much of it has to be worked out.
A nice title without the work. A role name means nothing if nothing got done.
