Free education for people who can't access it
We run free online English and Russian classes for children who are falling behind because of a language barrier.
English · lesson 1 of 10
Hello! What’s your name?
Meet each other in English: say hello and goodbye, say your name, ask how somebody is — and learn the two phrases that rescue a child in every English lesson at school: “Sorry, I don’t understand” and “Can you say it again, please?”
- 4 minHello!

Week 1: a short test. It puts the child in the group for their level.
Every week: one hour, from a written course.
Week 10: the same test again, and a certificate.
- We form the group
- 8–12 students at the same level, the same time every week. The time is chosen to suit the students, and only then do we find a teacher for it.
- We put two people in the room
- The teacher runs the lesson. The language helper explains the hard parts in the child's own language. Nobody is ever alone with a class.
- We finish the course
- A written 10-week curriculum, a test at each end, and a certificate for those who finish. We count results, not intentions.
We do not rely on people being good.
Our teachers are students aged 16–19, so there are no adult strangers around the children. Lessons are group lessons only. Messaging a student privately is not possible in our system — the capability does not exist. We store no surnames, addresses or photos.

Message not sent
BRIDGE does not allow sharing contact details or social media links. This keeps everyone safe.
This is what happens when someone tries to leave a phone number in a class chat: the message reaches nobody, and the coordinator sees it straight away.
One hour a week. One child who stops falling behind.
You do not have to write the lessons — they are already written. You need an hour a week, for ten weeks running.
